Amazon Creek
THE LATEST SHOTFOR THOSE OF YOU WHO enjoy the finer things in life, combined with a touch of adventure, our friends at Amazon Creek have the perfect option.Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is renowned for its off-piste skiing, yet our commission couldn't be further removed from the snow-covered slopes the Rhône-Alpes are synonymous with. Having previously visited the area to photograph their luxurious chalets during the winter season, we were asked to show what this amazing area has on offer during the hot summer months.The extent of our shot list emphasized the wide range of summer activities available. Not to mention the selection of safety equipment required for achieving the climbing, rafting and aerial photography. Having spent a number of summers photographing beautiful villas around France and Spain, Chamonix is a surprisingly good alternative to the usual beach holiday.As always, everyone at Amazon Creek has been very welcoming and our stay could not have been made any more enjoyable. A big thank you to everyone involved in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

THE LATEST SHOTDURING A RECENT MAGAZINE interview Sarel Jansen had the great pleasure of working with celebrity hair stylist Nicky Clarke.Our brief consisted of producing a set of photographs encapsulating the elegant stylist and his home's tasteful interior. Upon arrival at Nicky's North London home we had a set of images sketched out which successfully fits the brief and ensured our shoot would be wrapped up in no time.Nicky was a true professional in front of the camera whilst adding interesting anecdotes as we moved from one setup to another.With an equally relaxed and professional manner, journalist and Interview Hub co-founder James Evans, managed to get a number of humorous stories out of Nicky too. This contributed to the interview lasting much longer than expected as one story lead to another. THE LATEST SHOTFOLLOWING ON FROM A SUCCESSFULinterior photography commission in 2010, we gladly accepted a second invitation to return to the beautiful island of La Palma.Our brief was to compile a collection of land- and cityscapes, for the villa, showcasing the amazing scenery awaiting its visitors. Regarded as the greenest of the Canary Islands, La Palma is one of the smaller islands which is also free from mass-tourism.What stood out in La Palma, compared to other islands we have worked in, was the steep ascent from the coast to the volcanoes summits. This creates very dramatic views which explains why there are so many amazing walks available in relatively close proximity to the relaxing beaches. A simply breathtaking location.Thank you to everyone at ASURITA for making our stay as comfortable as possible.

THE LATEST SHOTVITA PILATES is a friendly boutique studio in Kensington launched by the very inspiring Federica De Caro.Our brief included a variety of studio, exercise and interior images which gives the viewer a better understanding of 'Dynamic' Pilates as well as a glimpse of the luxurious studio space itself.It is always impressive just how enthusiastic and energetic fitness professionals are to work with. On a personal note, the beautiful Complimentary Therapy treatment room did look extremely inviting compared to all the exercise...Thank you to Federica and Matthew for booking us as well as providing us with their clear direction and vision throughout the project. Also, a big thank you to the dedicated models and fitness instructors who repeatedly held very tiring poses in order to help us get fantastic photographs.

THE LATEST SHOTWe were delighted to be invited back to GlaxoSmithKline following a recent successful publicity portrait session.In our experience it is not uncommon for high profile clients to have last minute diary changes which impacts on the photography session times. In order to consistently produce compelling images we plan our shoot setups over two time scales. One around the time arranged and a backup if the time gets drastically reduced. As it turned out this technique, as well as the good fortune of a sitter who followed direction well, saved the 'shortened' day. I guess it explains why GSK are so successful - they're fast paced and efficient.Thank you to the team at GSK for effectively arranging access to shooting locations at such short notice.

THE LATEST SHOTI HAD THE GREAT PLEASURE OF working with Jonathan Gabay, an expert on creative marketing insights, to create his latest publicity images.Jonathan is one of those guys who has written more books than you can imagine. Having worked with him before I knew the session would not follow my carefully planned set.At one point Jonathan suggested we work on images which involve him looking 'friendly'... What followed was hysterical, hilarious and side-splitting. Somewhat different to the 'friendly' I had in mind. Let's hope he doesn't want to do 'angry' next time...Thank you Jonathan, it was a great session.
